Contact links that open the right app

Let people message or email you in one tap, from your website, your bio or a printed flyer.

Choose the channel you answer fastest

A WhatsApp link opens a chat with your number. An email link opens a new message in the visitor’s email app. Offer the channel you check most often; both can sit side by side on the same page.

WhatsApp: use the international number

WhatsApp links need the full number with its country code and without the national prefix: +33 6 12 34 56 78 becomes 33612345678. The WhatsApp Link Generator removes spaces, dashes and brackets for you and warns you when the country code is missing.

Add a short first message, such as “Hi! I found you on your website.” It tells you where the conversation started, and the person can still edit it before sending.

Email: prepare the subject for them

An email link can include recipients, a subject and the first lines of the message. A clear subject such as “Quote request” makes messages easier to sort. The Mailto Link Generator encodes spaces, accents and line breaks so they arrive intact.

The link opens the default email app of the device. When none is set up, nothing may happen, so show your email address as text next to the link.

Printing it? Turn the link into a QR code

Paste your link into the QR Code Generator, or use the “Create a QR code” button in the link tools. Download an SVG for print, keep the empty margin around the code and prefer dark squares on a light background.

Test before you publish

Open each link on a phone and on a computer. Check the number or address, the prefilled text, and that a test message really reaches you. Scan printed codes from a normal distance before ordering a full print run.
