BEFORE YOU START

Good to know

Safe output

HTML typed in the post is shown as text, and only web and email links are kept, so the converted post cannot run scripts.

Unclosed tags are closed

A tag without its closing tag is closed automatically, and unknown tags stay in the result as plain text.

Images in the preview

Images from [img] tags load from their own websites in the preview, so those websites can see your IP address.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Can I preview converted BBCode before copying the HTML?

Yes. Paste the forum markup to see the HTML and its preview. Unsupported tags may remain as text. Check the result before inserting it into your site, since forum-specific extensions can differ from the supported tags.

Which BBCode tags are supported?

Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, links, images, quotes with an author, code blocks, bulleted and numbered lists, color, size from 1 to 7 and text alignment.

How are line breaks converted?

Each line break becomes a <br> tag, except right after quotes, lists and code blocks, which already start on a new line.

How do I make a numbered list?

Use [list=1] instead of [list], and start each item with [*].
